Watermelon Spin-Ale Smoothie
When I returned, I was thirsty and hungry… so what better to make than a green smoothie that I’ve been reading about on so many blogs.
At first I was a little frightened at the thought of adding raw spinach or kale into my drink. How surprised was I that you couldn’t even taste them! Ok, well on the second try I couldn’t. The first time I added way too much kale and it was a tad on the bitter side. I readjusted the next time, and it was perfect. We also had a fresh watermelon so I added some to the mix.
Watermelon Spin-ale Green Smoothie
- a handful of spinach and kale
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 scoop protein powder
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/2 banana
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- a handful of watermelon cubes
- agave nectar or honey to taste
Add all above to blender, liquefy and enjoy!
